Our Practice

Since 1984, Dr. Palumbo has practiced ambulatory cosmetic plastic surgery on Long Island. He has performed over 3000 cosmetic breast surgery procedures, including breast augmentation, short-scar breast reduction (known as vertical mammaplasty), and breast lifts.  In 1996, Dr. Palumbo was chosen to be part of the FDA silicone implant study, because of the large number of augmentations he performs each year. Recently, following these studies, the FDA approved silicone implants for all types of cosmetic augmentation in patients over the age of 22.

Facelifts, eyelid surgery, nasal surgery, tummy tucks, and liposuction are also specialties. Dr. Palumbo has recently added an innovative non-surgical facelift to the practice , known as an "injectable facelift", in which various tissue fillers such as Juvaderm, Restylane, Cosmoplast or Radiesse are combined with selective Botox injections to obtain facial rejuvenation in those patients who are not yet ready for or do not want a traditional surgical lift.

Our state of the art mini-hospital includes operating rooms and recovery suites, built to accreditation code along with backup generators to ensure constant power to our monitoring systems.  Our facility is fully accredited by the AAAASF (American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities) one of only 500 facilities in the United States so certified.  We are accredited in all AAAASF classes (A, B and C) and for all types of anesthesia from local, local with sedation, and general anesthesia.
